The Bardsley team were nominated for the Best Education Category and specifically the Wakefield College, Radcliffe Building refurbishment project at the City Centre Campus site. The project was led by Senior Project Manager David Watts with David Shoreman from IBI Taylor Young providing the lead design team role.
The competition in this category was as expected tough, competing against the Bradford College and Leeds College of Building Projects. The judging panel were assessing a number of criteria specifically the quality of project management in terms of time constraints and delivery, sensitivity to the local environment and indeed how the design supported the educational purpose of the building.
To be short listed amongst the large number of education project undertaken within the region was a recognition in itself of the projects success.
