General Foreman required for North West

As General Foreman, you’ll be responsible for:

•Management of their directly employed Tradesmen and Apprentices, whether that be brickwork, joinery or finishing trades.

•Provide weekly reports to the Project Manager based solely on quality and progress.

•Ensure all sectional “Sign off Sheets” which record quality and progress are completed in accordance with our Company Quality Control Procedures.

•Co-ordination of material deliveries in accordance with programme requirement and the approved •Traffic Management Plan.

•Liaise with the project Clerk of Works

•Management of all sectional snagging and the contracted handover procedures.

•Ensure site presentation is of the highest standard.

•Promote & maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety.

•Undertake Site Inductions.

•Keep an accurate daily diary.

•Manage the permit to work system.

•Prepare, monitor and update Risk Assessments, Method Statements.

•Ensure compliance with the fire, traffic and Health and Safety Management Plans.

•Ensure that all accidents and dangerous occurrences are reported in accordance with Company procedures.

•Ensure that suitable protective clothing and equipment is provided to employees and that training in its use where appropriate is given.  Employers must be informed of the procedures for issue, maintenance and replacement of PPE and RPE.

•Ensure compliance with the Company Fire Prevention procedure.

•Ensure the safe storing and stacking of all materials and recording of waste transfer.

Training Requirements

Essential:

-        Valid CSCS card

-        SMSTS Qualified

Desirable:

-        Fire Marshall Training

-        First Aid Qualified

-        Temporary Works

-        Manual Handling
