| Gloves Policy |
|
Protection of the hands is an important factor with respect to the works which are undertaken, a high proportion of all incidents reported on site are as a result of handling and use of tools, which cause injury to the hands. In relation to this, 1st February 2010 saw a mandatory policy come onto force for the compulsory wearing of Protective Gloves conforming to EN 420 for all persons on Bardsley projects. It is therefore essential that the correct gloves and hand protection is used to prevent injury. A choice of gloves shall be made available on all sites, which are specific to the tasks being undertaken.

The Company believes that benchmarking is an important element of any project. In order to improve performance, it is necessary to measure and compare performance and the Company has adopted the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), developed by the Construction Best Practice Programme, for many of its projects.
