Wirral's Greenest Development Launched.

Ben Chapman MP launched Wirral Partnership Homes' (WPH) first ever new build houses for affordable rent at Juliet Avenue, Bebington, on November 6. All residents of the scheme were presented with a goodie hamper by Ben Chapman MP and Brian Simpson, WPH's Chief Executive. The 6 brand new houses have been built to the highest energy efficiency standards ever seen on the Wirral. They have solar panels and rainwater recycling systems and have been designed to meet the requirements of the demanding Code for Sustainable Homes standards. The Police have also awarded the development Secure by Design Accreditation meaning it is very secure and it has also been awarded Lifetime Homes standards, which require the houses to offer the flexibility to be adapted to meet the changing needs of their residents as they grow older. Ben Chapman MP said: "I am proud to open such a fantastic, environmentally friendly and high quality development on the Wirral. WPH's residents will have wonderful new homes." Brian Simpson, added: "Our residents deserve the very best and these homes have just raised the level across the Wirral."; WPH successfully bid for and secured £300,000 grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) towards the building costs. The development was supported by partners including Bardsley Construction Ltd, Ainsley Gommon Architects, Tweeds, Wirral Borough Council, LHT and the Tenant Services Authority
